Vahan Mozian [Moshoian] (1871-1945), was born on October 8, 1871, at Armenia, Turkey .
He came to the United States of America in 1893.
In 1902, he began trading as Ararat Stamp Co. 45 Beaver Street, New York.
On April 27, 1904, he married Attilia. They had two children : Gregory and Herant.
Postal Card sent by Mozian to Rev. L. G. Dorpat, Wayside, Wisconsin, postmarked October 21, 1910. The back has his rubber stamped ad for Nicaraguan stamps. Beneath that is another rubber stamp Ararat Stamp Co. This was an inexpensive method of contacting steady clients when you had a good deal on the table. Dorpat was on the Staff of Philatelic West in charge of the Inquiries Department. He was a well known philatelist and in 1910 he ran a few pieces in A. C. Roessler's Stamp News. FOR SALE $125.
