Eugene Thomas Quinn (1873-1938), was born on December 5, 1873, the son of Irish immigrants, Thomas Aloysius Quinn (1843-1915) and Ellen McCarty Quinn (1851-1933), at Catasaqua, Pennsylvania. The year of his birth varies on different official government documents as either 1873 or 1874. At age 17 or 18 he was ANA Member No. 141. He worked as a reporter for the Chronicle and News. He was a breeder of Airedale Terriers and entered his dogs in dog shows.

He lived at 1124 Second Street, North Catasaqua, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

He died on December 9, 1938, at Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in the Calvary Cemetery, North Catasaqua, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
